I feel it is unfair to have to rate this item only three stars. This is a well-made, well priced, authentic-looking product. I feel that it would be a five-star purchase for a G10 owner.

I bought this case after I saw reviews stating it will also fit a G11. It won't fit mine. I see how a trim of the leather, metal and fuzzy lining would allow the articulating view screen to function, if only the base of the case fit my camera. With a G11 in it, the sides bow out and the top portion of the case will not snap.

I bought this pouch for the Garmin Approach G5 GPS. It was listed as one of the frequent purchases with the GPS unit. Unfortunately, I find it a bit too small. The pictures make it look like it will hold a spare set of batteries, but the side pouch is barely able to do so.

Cheap GoPro Grab Bag of Mounts for HERO Cameras

Clearly most of the GoPro product has not been designed by an engineer or other practical person. These mounts are somewhat limited in their flexibility. They all work with a very short arm, there is nothing that will mount onto a concave surface, the convex surface mounts are only for shallow curves and the limited arm length makes it impossible to fold the camera "film" plane 180 degrees from the mounting surface. What they don't tell you is that you also get a few of the same mounts when you buy the camera..... so if you think you are getting a variety of other mounting options, forget it!. Also the thumb screw tightening method on all of the pivots looks like it can be done by hand but in many cases you still need a screwdriver.... poor design of the pivot locking system. I guess it is like so many products these days... just not really well thought out..... and probably produced by people that spend more time in front of a computer screen than actually doing stuff. I would only recommend this pack of mounts to someone who has many vehicles or things to attach to and doesn't want to swap all the time..... and who has very basic mounting needs.
Just FYI I wanted to mount my camera on my Ducati SportClassic 1000S motorcycle and none of the mounts I have will allow me to mount onto a stable non-vibrating part of the bike. As noted by others, the manufacturer straps that ship with most DSLRs are barely adequate for lighter cameras and downright uncomfortable for heavier gear. I agree with the others this strap is very comfortable. The padded suede works as advertised. The strap in black is understated and elegant (to the extent that is possible). What I would like to add is that this strap is adjustable to a longer length than most straps. I'm over six feet tall, and the original Nikon straps on my D70s and D200 are too short for anything other than around the neck carriage with the camera hanging over my stomach, which is a dorky look and uncomfortable. This strap allows allows me to sling the camera over neck and shoulder, messenger style, and have it ride on my hip. The other great thing about this strap is that it is robust. This is especially true of the quick releases. I've tried other straps with similar releases, including one made by Nikon. None of them gave me any confidence and their releases seemed weak. If you're putting a heavy camera, vertical grip and long lens on the strap, you don't want to worry about the quick releases popping loose. You won't with this strap. The releases are strong. They click together very positively. I have no doubt the attachments on the camera body will pull out long before these releases fail. That's a great feeling while working in the field.

Be advised the suede padding is sewn to the woven canvas strap material and does not slide. Although comfortable, the suede will not slide around the neck as easily as a synthetic material. Accordingly, if you carry your gear like I do (above) you will need to slacken the strap a little to get the camera to shooting position because the strap will not be centered around your neck during carry. This is really a non-issue in my opinion, but something to consider when making a purchase. The main loop that attaches to a belt is made of this, and if it cracks, there is no way to attach the case. For this part nylon would have been better for durability.

One design flaw is that as you slide the camcorder into the holster, the strap going through the slot, your hand gets squeezed against the male velcro hooks which can really scrape it. They should have put the male velcro inside the top of the case, with soft female velcro where one's hand slides.

This bag is huge. It easily holds a camera, 5 or more lenses, rolled film, filters, flash attachments, cable releases, lens cleaning kit, a quart bottle of water in a side pouch, lunch. I took it recently to NYC for a day trip and had all the devices for a digital and a film camera. Be careful not to overload yourself. If you have a lot of stuff, this is the bag for you. It is comfortable and distributes the weight by adjustable shoulder straps, a waist stap, and chest strap. You will want to add a back-pack rain pouch which is not included. All zippers are covered with pack fabric so I'm sure it will not leak in a light rain. The bag is black and will absorb light, so making that rain pouch a light and reflective fabric may help keep your film and other equipment cooler. And, an additional benefit, I eliminated two old camera bags by consolidating everything into this single back pack. If you want to get a lot of stuff into one place, this is the bag for you. I haven't used the slot for my computer, but, it has an 17" screen and fits perfectly. You could fit your tripod under the back flap such that it would stick out left and right like a bed roll. It seems to work OK, but I haven't used it for that, yet, but it does fit. Finally, the pack is made with high-quality material. I'm sure it will give me years and years of service.

one i wanted a case to match my brand of camera,

Now I am happy it does not have a strap which some can find annoying, again for me I did not want a carrying case just some protection for the camera while it is in other bags and to keep dust off of it. This first bit is for DSLR owners considering this case. I talk basics about the case further down.

I ordered this case to hold my Canon T2i (550D) DSLR camera. Sure, the camera fits fine without a lens on the body, laying down screen side. And you can fit at least two small lenses in next to it. But the case is a bit too tight for my taste with the T2i resting on its bottom, which I'd like to do so I can store it with a lens attached. It also is too small to fit both the camera and the reasonably small Rode Videomic I bought to go with it.

I've used Pelican cases like this in my videography work quite a bit and this one matches up to others I've seen. It's a tough case, supposedly water-tight - but not resistant to heat according to the owner's guide that comes with it. The latches are a bit stiff on these cases but I love that it comes with pre-punched foam so you can easily fit whatever odd-sized object in snugly. Be sure to read the tips that come with it about using chalk or toothpicks to spot out the shape you want to cut out.

I live in Costa Rica and bought a factory new TS-1 while visiting Panama City Panama. It worked great. Easy to use and the pix were awesome. Within 30 days, back in Costa Rica, I took my new camera to my favorite waterfall and began swimming with the camera. I accidentally bumped the camera a few times as I climbed up on the waterfall. The bumps were so minor, they are undetectable on the camera's orange metal case. Within minutes, my camera no longer worked! Dead. DOA. I looked at the pix on the card and all came out great until I bumped the camera. What's up with this? The camera is supposed to be able to be dropped from a height of a few feet?

My biggest problem is with warranty? I call Panasonic representatives in the US. They refer me to Panasonic Latin America. I call them... Nobody speaks English. My only proof of purchase is my American Express statement. AMEX tells me they can't do anything because their extended warranty covers only US warranted products! Looks like I am screwed!

Call me stupid but I love the camera so much I purchased it's successor the TS-2. This time from a US distributor. I am having a friend bring it to me next week when he visits. There's a line between safe filters and not being able to fit your filter wallet in your bag. This line was crossed with this product. This thing barely fit in my mailbox. I will not be using it. It's too inexpensive an item to go through returning it or I would. It is way too fat. Also, the plastic windows contain some sort of "mesh" on the inside that could rub onthe glass of your filter. Some reviewers said they have used this with no such results. I would be super weary about this when you use coated filters (i.e. HMC, etc). I guess I'll just stick with the plastic boxes that B+W provide. Oh well. If you are looking for something simply to hold your collection in a drawer in your studio, this might work well for you. Contrary to another review, I found that with a bit of customization, I could get to use every cubic inch of space in this comfortable pack. However, the first thing I missed was a sternum belt. I fixed this by buying a parachute clasp and affixing it to the adjustment straps from the shoulder straps. I have a Canon 5D Mark II, a 300 mm f/4 lens, a 24-105 lens, a 20mm lens, a Tamron 28 - 300 zoom a 50m Canon and a set of extension tubes. Plus a Polaroid PoGo printer all in the lower compartment. The Mark II's battery charger is in the top along with my iPod and extra batteries. A MacBook 13" fit easily in the compartment along with a 100gig HD. The whole thing weighs 26 pounds. My Kodak C182 is a thick-bodied point & shoot, and I needed a case that fit it closely, had room for spare batteries, and had a good belt clip. This case is perfect. The stiffener in the belt clip makes it easy to slide it behind my belt. It has a Velcro attachment plus a metal snap for added security. The zippers open easily to get to the camera.

I use the camera for work, so I needed something that didn't take up too much room on my belt - it isn't in the way when I'm sitting in the car or with my customers. I keep 4 spare AA batteries and a spare SD card in the pouch.
