1. I fully discharged the batteries in a flashlight - left it on overnight.

The batteries now operate great. They hold a charge and operate items I only operated previously with DuraCell Alkalines. The green fully-charged indicator on the charging unit also appears to be operating correctly now.

Other problems noted such as overheating and unit not staying plugged in have not been an issue for me. The unit is secure in a wall socket, the batteries are secure in the unit, and the operating temperature (even after 12 hrs) is just a little above room temp.

I was concerned that I was showing an error of f E.E in the aperture screen when I didn't have the aperture ring on the lens locked into f/22. I wondered why I could not move this aperture ring and thought this would be a problem. But, I am pretty sure that the camera only works with the ring set to f/22 and the camera sets the aperture according to what I set the ap on the camera.

The frame is attractive, and you have a choice of a white or a dark mat. I played with it a bit before giving it as a gift. I wasn't sure with how much enthusiasm it would be met so I chose not to spend more.

It's reasonably easy to use. Basic instructions are included in hard copy, but the manual is on a CD. I printed it as a convenience to my gift recipient.

If you edit your photos on your computer you'll need a thumb drive to get them from the computer to the frame. This creates several extra steps from camera to picture frame.

I found that portrait-oriented photos got chopped off a bit at the top. That could probably be fixed by re-sizing the photo, which would mean going back to the computer, then re-loading it onto the frame to see if it works.

As mentioned, this was purchased as a gift. I have my doubts as to whether the recipient will take the time to learn how to use it since it does require some thinking and patience.

A nice touch is that there's a magnet for the remote on the back of the frame. It's a tiny remote so it's good to have a safe place to keep it.

The worst feature is that the support on the back of the frame is too short and the frame tips over quite easily. I can't comment on the sound and video features.

My sense is that these products will either get easier to use or they will disappear from the market.
