Let me just start off by saying that the ipod touch 2g and the ipod touch 3g are the same size. Therefore, this case as well as any other that are made for one, will also work with the other. (this says for ipod touch 3rd gen, and i have the 2nd gen, and this case is perfect.
This case is a must! I have gone through two previous cases, the speck pixelskin and the dlo softshell. The pixelskin was fine, but since it is silicone it collects a lot of dust. I then bought the dlo softshell case. Let me say its a great case! I have used it for a year though and wanted something new so i just purchased this candyshell and i love it! I have the white one and it is really sleek and nice. Let me say that from all the video reviews and what i read about this, i was under the impression that this was a hard plastic on the outside..the cheap kind that toys are made out of that scratches real easily (one reason i got the white...so it would not show the scratches). I was pleasantly surprised when i got it to notice how it is NOT hard plastic on the outside.. more like a smooth rubbery feel, but NOT polycarbonate such as the ifrogz case for the iphone. It is very smooth and i just love this case! It IS hard on the outside.. but it is a bit flexible in the sense that you can bend it a bit like you would to get cubes out of an ice tray. It has been dropped already many times and my ipod is fine! There is silicone on the inside to protect the ipod. This case is just perfect. Also, as a bonus, it comes with a screen protector, which Speck doesnt usually include. Just like any other screen protector, you get one shot, it might have bubbles or it might be perfect.
