When I previously needed a Firewire cable, I went to Best Buy and paid too much like over thirty bucks for a Firewire cable. Of course, at the time, I immediately needed the cable right then and there. If I had the time, I probably would have looked around on Amazon and found what I found here. Yup, I should have came here to Amazon where I paid a whole lot less: a little over three bucks for another Firewire cable that I needed to give to my sister for her computer that I installed a firewire PCI card into the motherboard for use with her digital-tape camcorder. I bought the Firewire cable from Vortex Cable who is a seller here on Amazon. This is like the fifth cable that I ordered via Amazon from Vortex Cable. (The other cables that I got from Vortex Cable via Amazon were USB extension cables both short and long.) Not much else to say except that the Firewire cable is great.
