After purchasing and using recently, this is a very nice camera backpack for the occasional or "lite-use" photographer.
After having too many difficulties using a regular camera bag hiking and climbing steep terrain or mountain biking rail trails in the Cascades, this bag solved my problem. It's small, light weight, durable, and attractive. I especially like the opening in the top for the camera to be placed in as it provides easy access for needing the camera for a quick shot. (I originally planned on a "sling" backpack but did not find that attractive nor comfortable and did not think it would work well while mountain biking.) It has several small compartments and straps on the side that can easily hold a light weight tripod or even a jacket, windbreaker, cap, etc. It's insulated and "spongy" in case of minor falls, and the bag stands straight up when placing on the ground. It has lots of little zippered compartments for spare batteries, chargers, memory cards, filters, etc., and I also carry a smaller compact camera or video camera as well that fits perfectly in the outer zippered compartment on the back.
My only drawback is there are no compartments on the inside itself as in more professional camera bags and that means every thing has to sit loose on the inside sitting on top of each other with no padding or compartments in between to pad or isolate equipment from each other. I carry a 70-300 zoom lens and while it fits on the side with the elastic straps, the upper strap is not low enough to hold it firmly on the top -- even with the zoom extended in the longer position. The little mesh elastic bag on the outside of the case is described as being able to hold light things such as water, but a full water bottle will not last long in there under repeated use and normal wear and tear. Water however can be easily carried on the inside of the bag if you only have one zoom lens on one of the two sides. There is little to no room for non-camera equipment such as lunch, snacks, the "10 essentials" or anything else.
Overall, this is a perfect camera backpack for those who only carry a camera and few accessories. It's also ideal for biking rail trails, carrying light tripods on the side up to waterfalls or viewpoints, or those who need a light weight pack. It's also very affordable compared to the others. I simply needed something light and easy and the very, very overpriced others out there are simply excessive. If you are serious into outdoor photography and have multiple lenses, accessories, supplies, and so on, this bag is not for you.Get more detail about Caselogic TBC-307 SLR Camera Backpack (Black).
