First of all I did not have to downgrade to 1.1, the battery worked like charm out the box, it even comes precharged!!
The battery I received wasnt Maximal Power brand as the title states, but it is called Power2000. I ordered on December 28 and after two weeks of use I can ensure you this battery is just as good as the original one if not better, capacity seems to be the same, i get an average 250 shots per battery which is pretty good, since the most time the camera is in standby, lets say it will last you around 3-4 hours of use.
Very recommended, you dont have to pay $50 for the original one when for the same you can get 4 of these, li-ion batteries are nothing extraordinary and they are cheap to produce, and since they come with a overload/overcharge protection ciurcuit it wont damage your camera.
